Step Inside Australia’s First RIEDEL Boutique The world’s most celebrated glassware brand has opened its first-ever Australian boutique in North Sydney, and it’s one of just three RIEDEL flagships globally. The new space brings RIEDEL, SPIEGELAU and NACHTMANN together under one roof, with everything from wine-specific crystal and handmade pieces to more than 60 decanters you can pick up and pour from. There’s also The Crystal Room, a 55sqm event space with a 182-glass chandelier, where tastings, masterclasses, private dinners and creative collaborations will take place. 1 West Street, North Sydney DISHES, DESTINATIONS & EXPERIENCES QLD The Scene October is looking busy in the best possible way. There are dumplings to eat, art to gander at, new spots to discover and enough food festivals to keep your weekends happily occupied. Here’s what’s on our radar this month. 08 ACT NSW Walk Through Canberra’s Biggest Open-Air Gallery There’s still time to catch Canberra’s sixth Art Biennial, which has turned the city into a free, open-air gallery until the end of the month. More than 50 Australian and international artists have filled parks, public spaces and unexpected corners with site-specific works, including Archie Moore’s playful text-based artwork featuring a giant lawnmower at Reconciliation Place and an enormous inflatable talking crab perched above Canberra House. With major exhibitions across the city, it’s a good excuse to spend a day wandering Canberra with an art trail in mind.
